Dr. Emmy Le Nur, DDS
Dr. Emmy received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008. She went directly into private practice with family members and has been providing comprehensive, personalized dental treatment since then. Dr. Emmy has completed a multiple, multi-year comprehensive orthodontic training programs with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars and graduated with honors from her first program in 2011. Dr. Emmy operates a full orthodontic practice at Lumina Dental Studio, providing fixed braces treatment and clear aligners, Phase I treatment of teeth transitioning from primary to adult teeth and adult Phase II treatment. Dr. Emmy provides skeletal expansion and works with oral surgeons to provide orthodontics in conjunction with jaw surgery. Because Dr. Emmy is a general dentist with a special passion, dedication and training in orthodontics, she offers the unique opportunity for her patients to have all necessary treatments completed in one location. Gum treatment, extractions, and restorations can be planned and provided prior to braces or aligners. Cosmetic dentistry such as teeth whitening and veneers can be planned for and completed after the orthodontics. Dr. Emmy incorporate orthodontics into her treatment plans so she can provide not only beautiful smiles, but also the most aesthetic, functional and long- lasting restorations for her patients of all ages.
Dr. Emmy has a passion for teaching what she loves. Dr. Emmy is a seminar instructor for Progressive Orthodontics, traveling in the US and abroad, sharing her knowledge of orthodontics with general dentists around the world. She also provides consulting services for other dentists on which orthodontic treatment is best for their patients. Dr. Emmy consistently manages an active pre-dental and pre-hygiene mentoring program which trains and employs college students who are pursuing their goals of joining the dental profession.
Dr. Emmy is an active volunteer dentist with the Project Vietnam Foundation (PVNF) and travels to rural parts of Vietnam to provide free dental treatment for needy children. Around the office, you will hear Dr. Emmy constantly checking in on her patients. She knows what they’ve been up to, who has a new job or home, who’s been traveling and how the whole family has been doing. She truly cares for her patients overall mental and physical well-being and knows that dental health is just one part of the whole picture. She hopes Lumina Dental Studio can be a “dental home” for all her patients.
Dr. Bich Le, DDS
Dr. Bich Le received her dental degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1995 and has been practicing general dentistry in Southern California since then. She is a graduate of the Boston Dental Implant Institute training course and has been a practicing member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry since 2008. Dr. Bich develops thorough and complex treatment plans for patients taking into consideration their personal concerns and physical limitations. She has completed numerous full-mouth rehabilitations and corrections for patients who grew in other countries where early dental care was not possible. Dr. Bich’s patients value her ability to efficiently assess a situation and her honesty and gentle nature in explaining a patient's options. Dr. Bich incorporates our in-office 3D dental imaging and intraoral scanner to quickly and accurately diagnose and treat the treatment plan.
Dr. Bich’s true passion is to provide dental care to the needy children in Vietnam. Since 2006, Dr. Bich has served as the dental team lead coordinator for the Project Vietnam Foundation. Before each mission she spends countless hours coordinating fundraising and preparing donations and supplies. She will then lead a team of 20+ volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants, engineers and technicians to setup dental clinics in rural parts of Vietnam and provides filling, extractions, root canals, and education to poor children of Vietnam. In 2024, she was awarded the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the office of Joe Biden, President of the United States for her contributions to the public good and in recognition of her 4,320 hours of service to our nation. Dr. Bich dedicates this award to all the volunteers. She has worked with over the years and their shared passion of helping the needy children of Vietnam.
Dr. Austin Huy Huynh, DDS
Dr. Austin Huy Huynh graduated from the University of Utah School of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at the Northern California Veteran Affairs Healthcare system. At the VA, Dr. Huynh treated medically compromised veterans and had a strong focus on replacement of lost teeth with implants and bone preservation as well as partial, complete, and implant retained dentures.
Dr. Huynh is proficient in the use of digital dentistry techniques to provide the most ideal crowns/ bridges and uses modern techniques for root canal treatments and implant placement and restoration. Dr. Huynh provides excellent dental education to our patients, ensuring they understand all treatment options available to them and provides our patients the most comprehensive, quality and efficient dental care possible.
Dr. Hyunh is fluent in Vietnamese and communicate complex explanations and treatment plans to his Vietnamese patients. Dr. Austin Huynh grew up in Northern California, spending much of his childhood in West Sacramento. In his free time, he will be traveling to spend time with family, spending time hiking or camping outdoors, or cooking up his next delicious meal.
Christian Le, RDH
Christian earned his Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from Concorde Career College. Before attending this dental hygiene program, Christian worked as a dental assistant for 6 years, truly demonstrating his passion and dedication to the dental profession. While at Concorde, Christian received the Professionalism Award, upholding the core values of integrity, respect, customer service, and teamwork. Christian is proficient in a wide range of dental procedures including oral cancer screenings, oral hygiene instruction, non-surgical periodontal therapy, scaling and root planing, smoking cessation counseling, and all prophylactic procedures.
Christian has actively participated in various international and local mission trips, as well as medical and dental health fairs He was deeply involved with Medical, Educational, Missions, & Outreach (MEMO), a non-profit organization aiming to assist those in need. Christian traveled to under-served communities in Vietnam, leading a volunteer dental team who set up a 14 chair mobile clinic that provided dental treatment to over 1300 patients over a 4- day mission.
Christian is fluent in Vietnamese and is strong in conversational Spanish. Around the office, you’ll hear Christian chatting and laughing with his patients. His prize box is always fully stocked with the latest and greatest toys for his kids. For Christian, dental hygiene transcends a mere profession; it is a passion and a hobby. He believes that when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work at all.
Khoa Le, RDH
Khoa pursued his education in dental hygiene at Concorde Career College, where he obtained his Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. During his time at Concorde, Khoa was actively involved in organizing and participating in charity events that offered dental screenings and cleanings to underserved local communities. Many of our patients will remember Khoa as he worked as a front office administrator and dental assistant with Dr. Emmy and Dr. Bich for 7 years prior to pursuing his dental hygiene degree.
Khoa returned and continues to be a team leader in the office. His attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent dental care and customer service are some of the reasons our patients continue to refer their friends and family to us! Khoa is fluent in Vietnamese and grew up in the Little Saigon community. Khoa’s mission is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment at Lumina Dental Studio, ensuring that every patient feels at ease and finds an enjoyable dental home.
